What are the Narada Bhakti Sutras?

Life springs from love – the origin is love and life seeks love. The goal of life is also love, and in between, life is sustained by love. There is not a single creature or living entity on this planet that has not known love or is devoid of love. Since time immemorial, Sage Narada and bhakti (devotion) have been synonymous.

The Narada Bhakti Sutras consist of 84 sutras (aphorisms) of love. The very word ‘Narada’ means the spoke that joins the circumference with the center in Sanskrit. Thus, the sutrasare lessons in being centered as a means of achieving the highest form of love – divine love.

The Bhakti Sutras of Sage Narada are considered to be the best guide on the path of devotion, and stand out for their clarity, simplicity, and internal coherence.
